Wisdom

[Ecclesiastes 2:26] Lord, please help us to be the men who please Him that God may give us wisdom, knowledge, and happiness; and, not what God gives to the sinner to whom He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.  For this storing up of wealth is meaningless like one chasing after the wind. [2 Chronicles 1:11-12]  Since it is our heart’s desire that we do not aske for Earthly wealth, possessions, or honor (nor for the death of Your enemies).  And, since we have not asked for a long life, but are asking for wisdom and knowledge to lead our Families, Friends, and those in our lives, we are hopeful that your wisdom and knowledge will be given to us.  We look forward to when You give us wealth, possessions, and honor, such as no king who was before us ever had and none after us will have.  [Proverbs 4:6-7]  Please help us to not forsake wisdom, and allow her to protect us; we promise to love her, so please continue to have her to watch over us.  For wisdom is supreme and we need it. Though it costs all that we have, we are Blessed with understanding.  [James 3:17]  But, the wisdom that comes from Heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.  [Proverbs 19:20]  Please help us Lord to listen to your advice and to accept your instruction.  In so doing, we will be wise in the end.  [Job 12:12]  For is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?  [Ecclesiastes 7:12]  Please help us to use our life experiences as Men As Christ to leverage wisdom as a defense for the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to them that have it.  Please help us always to seek Your wisdom always Lord in all things that we do.  We ask you this in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
