Luke 11:27-28:
While Jesus was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed.” He replied, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”

How does one observe God’s Word? Jesus said in the Gospels that those who observe God’s Word are “Blessed” – or, in other words, they will be with Him in Heaven, because only Blessed Souls go There… In the face of the world, God’s Word is at odds with a lot of secular (or worldly) thinking. In fact, in order to observe God’s Word, each and every person will be Spiritually-Crucified for it. Jesus was clear on this the night before His death (see John 15:20) when He shared, “If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.” But in order to one day become Blessed again with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and those other Blessed that have gone before us, we MUST observe His Word in this world as best as we can – even when it hurts us in this life; physically or emotionally. And, the only way to observe God’s Word is to know God’s Word. We don’t want to be the ones who refuse to read the Instruction Manual (the Bible) and mess-up the final Assembly of our Souls (and not get into Heaven). Not only will be Blessed for it, but Jesus went on to say in John 15:20 that, “if they have kept My Word, they will keep yours also.” Now, that’s Paying It forward and then some!
