The Revelation

Matthew 11:25-30:

At that time Jesus exclaimed: “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to little ones. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.” “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

It seems that the world has an Eternal fascination with the end of days as described in the Book of Revelation.  For both Believers and non-Believers, there is often talk of pandemics, global-warming, wars, famines, locusts, wild-fires, natural disasters, race and international relations, governmental-division, etc.  While it’s natural – even Scriptural (see Romans 1:28) – for non-Believers to live in constant fear and anxiety, it shouldn’t be that way for Believers.  For Believers, Jesus simply says, “Come to [Him]…and [He] will give you rest.”  There’s a great car bumper-sticker that also simply reinforces this point; it says “Know Jesus, Know Peace” followed by “No Jesus, No Peace”.  Jesus only reveals God to whom He wishes to reveal Him.  So, as Believers, we are to put our cares and worries on Him, because His “yoke is easy, and [His] burden [is] light.”  Jesus Promises that when we do this, we will “learn from [Him]”.  And, there’s never been and never will be a better Teacher (Rabbi) than Jesus, my Friends!
