One Soul at a Time

Luke 15:1-10

Tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to listen to Jesus, but the Pharisees and scribes began to complain, saying, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.” So to them he addressed this parable. “What man among you having a hundred sheep and losing one of them would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the lost one until he finds it? And when he does find it, he sets it on his shoulders with great joy and, upon his arrival home, he calls together his friends and neighbors and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance. “Or what woman having ten coins and losing one would not light a lamp and sweep the house, searching carefully until she finds it? And when she does find it, she calls together her friends and neighbors and says to them, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found the coin that I lost.’ In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

The Kingdom of Heaven is expanded one Soul at a time. Sure, there are probably times when a bus load of folks arrives at the same instant, but God still counts them out one by one. We will stand before God one at a time and be held accountable to Him for what did (and didn’t do) in this world. In Heaven, we will all get specialized, individual Treatment. Time in Heaven stretches-out into Eternity as “with the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.” (2 Peter 3:8) God saves sinners one Soul at a time, too, and each and every Soul that He saves is celebrated – no matter the hour, location, etc. of the saving. It doesn’t matter how, when, etc. someone comes to God – it only matters that they “Come”. There’s more than enough room in Heaven for all of us and then some. So, why not start “House Hunting” in Heaven for you and your Family, Friends, etc. Share the on-line photos and the stories from the Walls There that actually do talk with us. Paint the picture for others who just can’t see the Beauty even when it’s right before their eyes. Remind folks about their Home There and of the Family that is waiting There for them – including a Father who will never leave or stop loving them. Where there is no yard work, mortgage payments, empty refrigerators, or cold rooms. Where everything is complete Bliss! As an Eternal Realtor, show folks (who are looking for a home) the last Home that they’ll ever need to Invest in. Their Eternal, personal Investment in Jesus will have the biggest Return on Investment (ROI) that they’ll ever experience!
