God is Water

John 10:27-30

Jesus said: “My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”

Years ago, while Leading a Sunday School Class, I learned the Mystery of the Holy Trinity from a 4th Grader.  Gianluca could see that my Wife and I were struggling to explain this Mystery to the dozen or so 4th Graders that we were Shepherding for the school year.  But, his Faith was so Pure and he knew how to keep things Simple; just like Jesus does.  He shared, “It’s Simple.  God is like Water…you see, He can be liquid, vapor, or solid, but He’s always Water.”  Wow.  I think that far too often in life, we over-complicate things with a sincere lack of serenity for what we can and can’t control.  God’s got this; He’s God and we’re His Creation.  So, let’s have the Faith of a Child and remember that no matter what we do or how things go in this world, we can never be taken-out of the Father’s Hand.
